Never ending festivals and bazaars in NUS

This week I see so many festivals and bazaars going on in NUS ( may be because of the Valentine or may be because of one week before the midterm break ). If you go to Forum Central Library you will find bazaar selling miscellaneous stuffs ranging from necklace, books, magazines, palmistry service lol, ice cream, clothes, manicure / pedicure and etc. Then simply walk away to Engineering faculty there you found Engine bazaar before. Little bit far then the NUS Chinese Society's bazaar in Science Foyer, Science Faculty. Hmmm, NUS has so many markets then ( or NUS = markets ???? ). So soon after that I started to think about how many customers can they get to buy their stuffs and use their services ? NUS has around 30000 students and 6000 staffs totaled 36000 together with the visitor will be around 40000 ( an enormous and huge number though ). I practically saw never ending streams of people buying the stuffs and using the services in the bazaar ( the bazaar in Forum is more crowded and best selling compared with the one in Engineering and Science ). Wow,what a potential market then. So if it is really selling now i can see the logic behind so many bazaars held in NUS. The impacts actually are positive as it can help NUS students to gain real experience on trading and organizing events, help people to get the stuffs and services they needed / wanted and also for social / charity reason. So welcome to the world of bazaar in NUS. Do not miss it out and gain the most from it . Cheers.

I-cube Investment Summit 2006

Today I had a chance to attend the I-cube investment summit 2006 in Singapore Management University. The I-cube initiative is a collaboration programme among three investment clubs in the Singapore univ. i.e. NUS,NTU and SMU. This programme sponsored by OCBC securities was held in the new SMU campus in Stamford road. What a double chance for me :). I used this opportunity to gain the knowledge and at the same time to see around SMU campus. First about the knowledge. On the presentation from morning till afternoon the knowledges that can be gained was enormous and it presented by all top brass in the field ( from OCBC : www.iocbc.com, Singapore Exchange : www.sgx.com, Nextview, www.nextview.com, Wallstraits, www.wallstraits.com ). Second it was a good chance to see the automatic and different by design campus of SMU. The campus located really in the city has a quite stringent measure on security as to enter the building you must swipe the card exactly the same like when you are using MRT ( I believe it must be because the easy reachability by people ). But once you go inside you will find automated open door like in the mall, power socket to plug everywhere and etc. Quite a good design and planning. How bout the girl then ? Many pretty and interesting girls were also in this event. I enjoyed very much the summit today as beside the free knowledge, the time to mingling and see SMU directly inside it, we also had free lunch and tea break. This event really need to be attended if you are still a student and wish to know more about the vast world and opportunity of investment. Cheers and happy weekend.
